Nuffield Health is the latest Hospital network to go “Cloud” with its upgrade of Blood360 in all 37 Hospitals in a true Hub & Spoke healthcare infrastructure.
At the core of the Blood360.cloud installation is the powerful MSoft360 Cloud environment sitting on top of the industry leading AWS Cloud worldwide infrastructure.
Blood360.cloud is providing Nuffield with over 40 x Blood360 T1 Kiosks controlling their fridges & agitators and over 200 x Blood360 Apps installed on Apple iPhone SE devices for bedside management of Blood Transfusion.
The Blood360 App provides positive patient identification at the bedside helping to eliminate a number of SHOT reported incidents.
Nuffield Health also uses the powerful Cloud based Blood360 Remote Issue system which allows Stock Blood to be electronically issued for patients eliminating the need for Lab Staff to reserve a unit of Blood for a patient. Reserving of Blood can be considered wasteful as the unit is held for that patient whether or not the patient uses it or not. Blood360 Remote Issue is a more efficient way to manage Blood stocks in a hospital network.
Nuffield Health will upgrade its Sample360 and PPID360 system to full Cloud in 2024. Sample360 is used in all 37 Hospitals to provide Sample labelling at the bedside helping to reduce errors in the analysis of Blood. PPID360 is providing a distributed Wristband printing solution in all of the Hospitals uniquely identifying the Patient.
Matt McAlister, Managing Director of MSoft360 said, “We are very proud to add Nuffield Health to our growing list of Blood360.cloud customers enjoying the benefits of a fully managed cloud service from my team.”
About Nuffield Health.
Nuffield has an industry-leading network of 37 hospitals, 114 fitness and wellbeing centres, medical centres and workplace wellbeing facilities. They believe that the best healthcare should help prevent illness by looking after mind and body. Their holistic wellbeing offering spans physical and mental health — from personal training, health assessments, GP services, and physiotherapy to providing mental health support or hospital treatments for serious conditions. They also use our expertise to support the NHS and help people to prevent illness and injury, working in collaboration with all parts of the health service.
SHOT (Serious Hazards of Transfusion) is a reporting portal which anonymises reported incidents for learning purposes. It produces an annual report of those incidents with recommendations for improvement. Blood360 uses these recommendations to improve its software.
